The best part about being a wedding photographer is the gift of being able to witness truly special love stories as they experience one of the most monumental days in their relationship: their wedding day. Recently, we had the pleasure of capturing Beatrice and Farbod’s upscale modern wedding and we could not be more thrilled to share. .
A testament to a truly lasting love, the bride and groom have been together seventeen years and counting. For some time in their relationship, education was at the forefront – Farbod has a Berkley background, and Beatrice went to UCLA. They were each able to attend the other’s graduation, just a couple of the noteworthy highlights in their life experiences that they were able to encounter as a team.
Another unique aspect of the couple’s love story is the fact that Beatrice comes from Russian heritage, while Farbod is of Persian descent. The result in the celebration of their union was a multicultural celebration that combined tradition from both backgrounds as well as American wedding trends as well.
A sofreh aghd wedding ceremony is a tradition thousands of years old, that is often found at Persain weddings. This cultural ceremony can be practiced regardless of faith background, making it an approachable and enjoyable festivity for all to be a part of. The basic principle is a spread (after all, sofreh translates to spread) of symbolic items set out to represent different elements of the couple’s future together.
For example, the candles seen displayed at this modern upscale wedding symbolize clarity and energy. Eggs were laid out as a symbol of fertility and future prosperity, while fruits and nuts were present to represent abundance and joy. Sweets and pastries were on hand to be shared with the guests as a symbol of the sweetness of life.
However, sweetness, abundance and joy were not just elements decorating the table for the sofreh aghd spread. These were emotions and moods captured in the photography and videography services that it was our pleasure to provide. When working with clients who are truly beautiful as individuals and as a union, both inside and out, it is not hard to accomplish gorgeous wedding photography and filmography. All we needed to assist us on the technical side was drone and crane setups in order to achieve the sweeping aerial footage and panoramic views seen in their wedding video. To secure similar memories for your own wedding day, do not miss the breakdown of our services and capabilities, an overview of which can be found HERE.
The Beverly Hilton Hotel provided a lush backdrop to contribute to the overall upscale, modern nature of the wedding. David Goldstein of My Beverly Hills Florist helped decorate the environment with elaborate floral arrangements of cascading whites and greens. As a testament to her fantastic taste, Beatrice was clothed in a gorgeous Berta gown from Lovella Bridal. Paired with expert enhancements from Yana Beauty Studiol, she was truly one of the most stunning brides we have ever seen. Other involved vendors included Special Cakes by Ruben, 4th Dimension Productions, Golnar Djahanbani Wedding Officiants and Imperial Party Rentals. And, of course, videography and photography by Dmitry Shumanev Production. For more photos, you can see the full album on our Facebook page.
